<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a desired outer diameter of a coil by conforming a wire to a winding core without impairing an alignment property of the wire.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a coil forming apparatus for forming a coil 13 made of a wire 12 obliquely wound around a columnar winding core 11 in a sequential manner. The coil forming apparatus comprises: a plurality of rollers 21 having, on its outer periphery, a recessed groove with a circular arc section; roller moving means 22 which moves the plurality of rollers 21 between a holding position where the rollers hold the coil 13 from the outer periphery and a separation position where the rollers are separated from the coil 13; and rolling means 25 which causes the plurality of rollers 21 at the holding position to roll in the longitudinal direction of the coil 13. The radius of the circular arc section of the outer periphery of the rollers 21 is substantially equal to the radius of the outer periphery of the coil 13 that is to be achieved. The coil forming apparatus further comprises a winding core relative rotation mechanism 16 which causes the winding core 11 to rotate around the plurality of rollers 21.</p> |
