The housing portion has a shape conforming to an outer face of the cell and is in contact with the outer face of the cell.

A battery comprising a plurality of cells housed in a battery container, the cell is a winding provided by winding a power-generating sheet around an axis, the power-generating sheet including a positive electrode sheet and a negative electrode sheet stacked with a separator interposed between them,
wherein the battery container is formed of an insulating material and includes a plurality of housing portions formed by an inner wall portion of the battery container, each of the housing portions housing an associated one of the cells, and sandwiching members, each of the sandwiching members sandwiching an electrode portion of the winding, and a conductive member connecting the sandwiching members to each other for adjacent ones of the windings to connect the plurality of cells are embedded in a wall portion of the battery container.
