<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can suppress increase in the printing rate and prevent generation of fogging, dirt in a fixing unit, and scattering of an unfixed toner without a loss of convenience to a user even when non-genuine replacement parts are used. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 100 is provided with: an image forming unit 103 that forms images; a non-genuine part determination unit 101a that determines whether a replacement part for the image forming unit 103 is a non-genuine part or not; an operation handling unit (for example, an operating panel 102) that handles user operations, including operations for setting image forming conditions; and a control unit 101 that controls image formation by the image forming unit 103 on the basis of image forming conditions set by the operation handling unit. When a replacement part for the image forming unit 103 is determined to be a non-genuine part by the non-genuine part determination unit 101a in the image forming device 100, the control unit 101 prohibits setting operations for performing black/white reversed printing among the setting operations for image forming conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
