Embodiments of the present invention relate to an information transmission method and apparatus. The information transmission method includes: determining a time-frequency resource used by an MIB of a serving cell, where the time-frequency resource used by the MIB of the serving cell is different from a time-frequency resource used by an MIB of a neighboring cell; and receiving the MIB of the serving cell on the time-frequency resource. In the embodiments of the present invention, information of different cells is carried on different time-frequency resources, and therefore, interference between the information of different cells can be effectively reduced or avoided, thereby improving information transmission quality, and enhancing system performance. |
