<p>The controller i.e. engine control unit (ECU) (30), has a storage unit for storing a value of a parameter that defines an actual injection state of a fuel injector (10). A signal generation module (32) produces an injection command including drive durations of the injector. A learning module (31) learns the value of the parameter for each cycle. A correction unit corrects the durations of the command until the injector for a given injection cycle is in a non-injection state such that the durations according to the given cycle are extended until the injector is not in the non-injection state.</p> |
