<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for coping with even the case that it becomes necessary to exchange, especially, an MS (magnetic stripe reading/writing) unit for storing information in a magnetic stripe, and for reading the information from the magnetic stripe only by exchanging the MS unit.SOLUTION: The MS unit includes: a magnetic head for writing information in a magnetic stripe, and for reading the information from the magnetic stripe in accordance with a writing instruction or reading instruction from a host device; a storage part for storing the operation conditions of the writing or reading of the information corresponding to the instruction frequency of the writing instruction or the reading instruction; a timer time monitoring part for monitoring a time from the previous writing instruction to the next writing instruction or a timer time from the previous reading instruction to the next reading instruction; and a control part for, when the next writing instruction or the next reading instruction is transmitted from the host device within the timer time, reading the operation conditions of the corresponding instruction frequency from the storage part, and for performing the writing processing or reading processing of the information in or from the magnetic stripe, and for notifying the host device of the result.</p> |
