<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ribbon capable of realizing high densification and diameter reduction, and also laying optical fibers on V-shaped grooves of a fusing machine without coming off.SOLUTION: There is provided an optical fiber ribbon 1 in which three or more optical fibers 2 are disposed in parallel, and also a portion between the two optical fibers 2 adjoining each other is coupled with a coupling portion 3 and the coupling portions 3 are provided intermittently in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon and the width direction of the optical fiber ribbon respectively. In the optical fiber ribbon, there is a clearance between the two optical fibers 2 adjoining each other. The coupling portion 3 is formed with clearance filled with resin, and both surfaces of the coupling portion 3 are recessed in an arc-shaped manner further toward the center side of the clearance than a line for connecting contact points to each other formed in laying the optical fibers 2 on a horizontal plane.</p> |
