<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical fiber unit for preventing protrusion and transmission loss of a plurality of internally collected optical fibers by preventing an end part from opening without using any adhesive tape or adhesive or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an optical fiber unit by collecting a plurality of optical fibers 5 in a cylindrically-bent wrapping tape 4. In order to manufacture the optical fiber unit 2, the wrapping tape 4 is passed through a tapered cylindrical tube 11 which is larger in the entrance diameter than the exit diameter, and then passed through a spiral groove hole 12a having an overlapped part in which a winding finish-end is overlapped with a winding start-end beyond a winding start-position, and cylindrically formed with both ends overlapped. The wrapping tape 4 protruded after passing through the spiral groove hole 12a is passed through a heated cylindrical tube 13, and the wrapping tape 4 is made to store the collected optical fibers 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
