A bracket (18) is provided that may be welded to the interior surface (16) of a vehicle fascia (12). The bracket (18) has a flange (24) and a mounting boss (26). The flange (24) is slotted to form flexible fingers (36) that conform to the interior surface (16) of the fascia (12). The fingers (36) are welded to the fascia (12) to attach the bracket (18) to the interior surface (16) of the fascia (12). A vehicle component, such as an impact sensor (20), is attached to the mounting boss (26) to secure it to the fascia (12). |
