<p>A radius gauge for the use on railway tracks which is used to measure rail bend, wear and flatness. The gauge may consist of a cover/housing assembly A, a battery unit, a means of measuring via a gauge linear reader module, and a placement bar which attaches to the rail. The gauge linear reader module may be removable and can be calibrated remotely and has a digital data acquisition output facility.The system has the possibility of outputting data to a remote device in either iOS (RTM) or Android (RTM) format where the information may be decoded, recorded and correlated. The radius gauge may preferably consist of two neodymium magnets to aid in location of the device and help resist shock and impact. The gauge will preferably be electrically insulated to BS8020.</p> |
