Ultrasound probe for inspecting a workpiece in a concave area of its surface

The probe has two linear converter arrays (4a, 4b) with converter elements (6a, 6b) arranged in a row in a direction of longitudinal middle axes (12a, 12b) of transmitting surfaces (8a) and/or receiving surfaces (8b) of the converter arrays. The converter elements are controlled at different time delays. Longitudinal sides of the converter arrays are arranged next to each other such that the middle axes are oriented at an inclination angle to each other. Rear sides of the converter arrays are embedded in a damping body (10).
