Carton containers are sterilised and coated internally with paraffin wax or similar material by first spraying with the molten material at a high temperature to effect sterilization, and then spraying with the molten coating material at a substantially lower temperature and in a more viscous state. The two sprayings, which are preferably effected without the aid of atomising air or steam, may be carried out at two stations or, alternatively, two nozzles, operating successively, may be combined at one station. |
