<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller that forms images with sufficiently high quality over a long period of use for image formation. <P>SOLUTION: A developing roller includes a base material 103, and a coating layer 104 formed on the base material 103. The coating layer 104 is formed by laminating at least two layers: an electrolytic plating layer 101; and a non-electrolytic plating layer 102. The non-electrolytic plating layer 102 is closer to the base material 103 than the electrolytic plating layer 101. The electrolytic plating layer 101 has thickness of 0.06μm or more and less than 0.2μm. The electrolytic plating layer 101 is harder than the base material 103, and the non-electrolytic plating layer 102 is harder than the base material 103 and softer than the electrolytic plating layer 101. The non-electrolytic plating layer 102 contains metal having higher standard oxidation-reduction potential than metal contained in the electrolytic plating layer 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
