The present invention provides a surface processing apparatus comprising: a pressing part to press a surface of a metal workpiece to process the same; an electrode part of which a positive electrode is provided to be adjacent to the pressing part such that the electrode part comes in contact with the metal workpiece in accordance to a movement of the pressing part to apply an electric current to the surface of the metal workpiece; and a power supply part to supply electric power to the electrode part, thereby easily processing the surface of the metal workpiece while reducing a current value applied in order to reduce a hardness of the metal workpiece when the surface of the metal workpiece is processed.
