<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective agent for a seamless steel tube drilling/rolling tool, easily protecting the surface of a plug to extend the service life of the plug. <P>SOLUTION: This surface protective agent is slurried by mixing into a solvent such as water, a curing agent and a main agent containing 4-40 mass% of low-melting-point compound powder and the balance wustite powder or magnetite powder, or iron oxide powder formed by mixing the wustite powder and magnetite powder. The low-melting-point compound powder to be contained contains Li and one or more kinds selected from Na, Si, Ba, Al, Ca and K, and softening temperature is 600-1,000°C. The surface protective agent is applied on at least the tip end of a rolling tool with at least a scale layer formed. Thereby, the wear of the scale layer is suppressed or the scale layer is reinforced. As a result, the service life of the rolling tool is extended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
