The present disclosure relates to an inner panel (2, 2') for a vehicle bonnet (58). The inner panel (2, 2') comprises a peripheral portion (4), extending along at least a portion of a periphery of the inner panel, and a central portion (6), located within the peripheral portion (4). The central portion has a longitudinal extension (a) and a transverse extension (b). The central portion comprises a reinforcing framework (16, 16'), whereof a portion forms an arch-shaped member (18). A longitudinal extension (c) of the arch-shaped member is equal to or greater than 30% of the longitudinal extension (e) of the inner panel (2, 2'). A transverse extension (d) of the arch-shaped member is equal to or greater than 40% of the transverse extension (f) of the inner panel (2, 2'). The disclosure further relates to a bonnet (58) comprising such an inner panel (2, 2') and an outer panel (56). |
