A method for updating firmware of a smart card installed in a mobile terminal comprises following steps of: receiving PUSH messages about an update of the firmware from an update server; receiving at least one among a model name of the smart card, a version of the firmware, or ICCID; transmitting at least one among the model name of the smart card, the version of the firmware or ICCID to the update server; downloading an update package for the firmware from the update server; saving the downloaded package in the smart card; and executing the update for the firmware of the smart card. |
