The present invention relates to a method for designing heterogeneous cellular networks for improving efficiency of costs and power consumption of heterogeneous cellular networks composed of multiple cells having a variety of different sizes and ranges to increase spectral efficiency. According to the present invention, in order to solve a problem of minimizing total energy consumption while satisfying area spectral efficiency (ASE), such a problem is divided into a deployment problem at a peak time and an operation problem at an off-peak time, wherein for the deployment problem, constant factor approximation greedy algorithm is applied and wherein for the operation problem, Lagrangian relaxation technique is applied, thereby providing the method for designing heterogeneous cellular networks for reducing energy reduction, wherein total energy consumption of heterogeneous cellular networks are remarkably reduced through two online distribution algorithms having low complexity and signaling overhead. |
