<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect trouble having occurred in a means latching a counter value from a counter means generating a random number used for an auxiliary game in inspection before shipment, in a game machine including a game control means executing the auxiliary game according to the passage of a game ball through a start region. <P>SOLUTION: This game machine includes: the counter means counting a clock signal; a counter value holding means taking in a counter value from the counter means based on the detection result of a start winning detection means; a counter value holding information storage means storing counter value holding information indicating whether or not the counter value is held in the counter value holding means; and a means forbidding a change of the counter value held by the counter value holding means until the counter value taken in the counter value holding means is acquired.
