A pair of pants 1 to cover a diaper X on a person has a flap 4 extending from a back portion of the waste aperture which supports a moisture sensor 5. In use, the pants can be worn around the outside of a diaper, with the flap 4 placed between the diaper and the back of the wearer. The moisture sensor 5 can indicate when it becomes damp. The moisture sensor may be formed from electrically conductive wires 5A, 5B (extending through the flap 4, around a waist aperture and around leg apertures), and a circuit in a waterproof housing (6, fig 1). The circuit can measure the change in resistance across the pair of wires 5A, 5B when diaper X becomes wet. Poppers (8, fig 1) can releasably connect the housing (6, fig 1) to the pants 1. The housing (6, fig 1) could be in a pocket, or under a flap (9, fig 1). The moisture sensor could be a colour change sensor. The moisture sensor may detect when a diaper becomes wet around the back of the wearer, e.g., when sat in a wheelchair or lying in a bed. |
