<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of necessity to prevent curing of UV curable ink in the vicinity of a nozzle. <P>SOLUTION: In a liquid injection device, a liquid injection head injects the UV curable ink through the nozzle, an ultraviolet irradiation unit irradiates a recording medium onto which the UV curable ink has landed with ultraviolet rays. The device also includes a nozzle protection unit having a sensor detecting the ultraviolet rays and arrangeable at a predetermined position between a surface with the nozzle formed and the recording medium, and an adjustment unit adjusting an irradiation angle of the ultraviolet rays radiated from the ultraviolet irradiation unit relative to the recording medium. When executing a recording process a plurality of times by injecting the UV curable ink to the recording medium on the same surface of the recording medium as an object, before starting each-time recording process, the ultraviolet irradiation unit is made to irradiate the relevant surface of the recording medium with the ultraviolet rays and the irradiation angle is adjusted by the adjustment unit based on the intensity of the ultraviolet rays detected by the sensor such that the intensity of the ultraviolet rays that the nozzle protection unit receives becomes not more than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
