<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device capable of coping with a long-cycle earthquake vibration and a long-cycle pulse earthquake vibration, effectively preventing layered rubbers from being bent without using a stabilizing board to be disposed by stretching between a plurality of layered rubbers arranged in parallel with each other. <P>SOLUTION: This base isolation device is interposed in a vertical space between an upper structure and a lower structure to support the upper structure in a base isolating state. The base isolation device includes: an outrigger member; and a pair of layered rubbers vertically layered through the outrigger member. The outrigger member includes: a part pinched by the pair of layered rubbers from upper and lower; and an extension part extending from the pinched part to both sides in the horizontal direction. When the upper structure is displaced in the horizontal direction relatively to the lower structure, the layered rubbers are shear-deformed in the horizontal direction, and the extension part of the outrigger member abuts on at least of the upper structure and the lower structure as an object of abutment in a condition wherein the extension part of the outrigger member is allowed to move in the horizontal direction relatively to the upper structure and the lower structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
