The present invention relates to a method for extracting water-soluble crude polysaccharide from Hizikia fusiformis among marine plants, and a food and a pharmaceutical composition for treating, preventing, and alleviating osteoporosis using the extract. The present invention is a food and a pharmaceutical composition for treating, preventing, and alleviating osteoporosis, having an extract of Hizikia fusiformis as an effective component. Also, the extract of Hizikia fusiformis is crude polysaccharide. In addition, the crude polysaccharide is obtained through processes of hot water extraction, ethanol precipitation, and dialysis. |
