Disclosed are a method and system for uploading a large volume file using multiple devices. The method for uploading a large volume file to a server, in which multiple devices are connected through a network, comprises the following steps: dividing a large volume file to be uploaded by one device among multiple devices into blocks having a predetermined size, and generating identification information of divided blocks; allowing a device to generate an identification information list of the blocks, and transmit a block identification information list to a server; allowing the server to inspect whether the same block identification information, which has been already uploaded, exists when the block list information list is received; dividing the number of remaining blocks, which are not uploaded by the first device, in half if the first device is in the middle of uploading the large volume file, when the same block identification information exists according to the inspection result, generating upload sequence information of the blocks divided in half, and transmitting the upload sequence information of the blocks to a second device which has transmitted the block identification information list; and allowing the second device to upload blocks of the large volume file to the server in accordance with the upload sequence information. |
