Device, method, and graphical user interface for managing folders

A multifunction device displays a plurality of selectable user interface objects on the display. In response to detecting the first input, the device moves a first object in the plurality of selectable user interface objects across the display to a location on the display that is proximate to a second object in the plurality of selectable user interface objects. In response to detecting that the first input meets predefined folder-creation criteria while the first object is proximate to the second object, the device creates a folder that contains the first object and the second object.

a display; one or more processors; memory; and one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
displaying a dynamic folder icon, wherein:
the dynamic folder icon includes display of a first visual indication of a spatial arrangement of a plurality of application icons representing content of a folder that is associated with the dynamic folder icon;activation of the dynamic folder icon results in display of a folder view of the folder presenting a plurality of selectable application icons in the spatial arrangement, anddisplay of the folder view is distinct from display of the dynamic folder icon;detecting an input that corresponds to a request to modify the spatial arrangement of the selectable application icons in the folder;in response to detecting the input:
modifying the spatial arrangement of the selectable application icons in the folder;updating the dynamic folder icon to include a second visual indication of the modified spatial arrangement of the plurality of application icons within the folder; anddisplaying the updated dynamic folder icon, wherein the updated dynamic folder icon includes display of the second visual indication of the modified spatial arrangement of the plurality of application icons within the folder.
