The present invention relates to a method for determining a car accident using an on-board diagnostics (OBD) terminal. A method for determining a car accident using an OBD terminal comprises the following steps of: collecting vehicle data from the OBD terminal during a drive of a vehicle; checking a vehicle speed from the vehicle data to be compared with a predetermined reference speed; determining an accident condition of the vehicle in accordance with the difference between the vehicle speed and the predetermined reference speed and a collision checked by a collision detection unit; and outputting accident information of the vehicle in accordance with a determination result of an accident condition of the vehicle.
