[Class 110 (i)] The rubber lining of centrifugal pumps used for abrasive mixtures is perforated to prevent the formation of blisters. The rubber covering of the impeller comprises an annular shroud 22, flanges 23<1>, 30, and blades 23 all of which are formed in one piece. Inside the blades are fibre distance-pieces 16. Perforations 34 extend through the flanges 23<1>, 30 to support plates 12, 15, and perforations 35 through the blades to the distance pieces 16. The rubber lining D of the casing is flanged at 49, 50, and is held between side plates 45, 46. Rubber sealing rings F, G engage the impeller at 7, 8, 10 and regulate the flow of flushing water from the pipes 5, 6. |
