The present invention provides a battery discharge preventing system and a battery discharge preventing method using the same for a hybrid vehicle. The battery discharge preventing system for a vehicle comprises: a high voltage battery driving a motor of the vehicle; a low voltage battery supplying power to a black box; a first voltage sensor measuring the voltage level of the low voltage battery; a converter charging the lower voltage battery through the high voltage battery; a converter relay selectively blocking the passage of current of the high voltage battery; and a converter control unit controlling the converter relay in accordance with the measurement value of the first voltage sensor. The battery discharge preventing method using the battery discharge preventing system for a hybrid vehicle comprises: a step of measuring the voltage level of the low voltage battery supplying power to the black box through the first voltage sensor; and a step of connecting the converter relay by the converter control unit to support power of the low voltage battery with the high voltage battery when the voltage level of the low voltage battery reaches a first reference value or lower.
