The present invention relates to a Method for increasing free amino acid content in a plant by using a ClpC1 gene or a ClpC2 gene and a plant thereby. The method of the present invention can be useful for investigating a function of the ClpC1 gene or the ClpC2 gene, and ensures creation of a transgenic plant with increased free amino acid content by the method.
