The present invention relates to an antibacterial pharmaceutical composition containing a polymer compound with imidazolium and a chemical sensor for detecting bacteria, the composition having an excellent effect of inhibiting activity of Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria, Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria and antibiotic resistant bacteria as well as having a capability of detecting the bacteria via colorimetric, light absorbing and fluorescent variations, thereby being expected to be effective in treating bacterial infections so being valuably used as the pharmaceutical composition for detecting or treating the bacteria.
