Administration of an NSAID with at least one dual inhibitor of mPGES-1 and NF-κB plus at least one zwitterionic phospholipid rests in a lessening of side effects and the ability to administer smaller doses of an NSAID without loss of effectiveness.

1. A composition for improving the analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) in a mammal in need of NSAID therapy comprising:
a) at least one dual inhibitor of microsomal prostaglandin E2 synthase-1 (mpges-1) and NF-κB; b) at least one zwitterionic phospholipid; and c) a therapeutically effective amount of one or more NSAID.
