A refrigerator according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a main body including a cold room and a freezer; a cold room cooling circuit including a cold room compressor to compress refrigerants, a cold room condenser wherein the refrigerant compressed in the cold room compressor is condensed, a cold room expansion tool wherein the refrigerant condensed in the cold room condenser is expanded, and a cold evaporator wherein the refrigerant expanded in the cold room expansion tool is evaporated and is thermally exchanged with the cold room; a freezer cooling circuit including a freezer compressor to compress refrigerants, a freezer condenser wherein the refrigerants compressed in the freezer compressor are condensed, a freezer expansion tool wherein the refrigerant condensed in the freezer condenser is expanded, and a freezer evaporator wherein the refrigerant expanded in the freezer expansion tool is evaporated and is thermally exchanged with the freezer; a cold room temperature sensor to measure the temperature of the cold room; a freezer temperature sensor to measure the temperature of the freezer; and a control unit to control the cold room compressor and the freezer compressor with a simultaneous operating mode in a simultaneous cooling condition of the freezer and the cold room, and control the cold room compressor and the freezer compressor with a selective operating mode which operates any one between the cold room compressor and the freezer compressor or the cold room compressor and the freezer compressor at the same time in the light of a previous operating state in a selective cooling condition of the freezer and the cold room. |
