The present invention relates to an oven which may comprise: at least one heater arranged within a cooking chamber; a temperature sensor sensing the temperature of the cooking chamber at a predetermined cycle; and a control unit resetting on/off time of the heater with respect to each cycle based on predetermined target temperature, and current temperature and previous temperature of the cooking chamber sensed by the temperature sensor, and controlling the heater to be driven according to the reset on/off time. The oven and the control method thereof adjust on/off operations of the heater, thereby reducing a ripple phenomenon generated because of not maintaining the target temperature. Therefore, the present invention can reduce a temperature variation width while foods are cooked, accordingly enhancing cooking capability. |
