PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-supporting carbon material at a low cost in which the occlusion of atomic hydrogen can proceed efficiently.SOLUTION: This invention provides a metal-supporting carbon material in which a carbon material having a pore supports a metal particle having one or more transition metal selected from the group consisting of Fe, Ni, Co, Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Mo, Hf, and W. An average particle diameter of the metal particles observed with a transmission electron microscope (TEM) is 20 nm or less. |
