PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric integrated circuit allowing both simplified manufacturing process and higher efficiency optical coupling of a light source and a waveguide.SOLUTION: An integrated optical circuit provided on a substrate comprises: a light source; a spot size conversion part converting a spot size of light outputted from the light source; a waveguide part connected to the spot size conversion part; and an active part connected to the waveguide part. A lower clad layer, a core layer, a common layer and an upper clad layer are sequentially stacked on the substrate. A refractive index of the common layer is greater than those of the lower clad layer and the upper clad layer, and smaller than that of the core layer. The spot size conversion part, the waveguide part and the active part include the common layer. |
