PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezer with a defrosting device capable of using the refrigeration chamber of the freezer widely, and capable of reducing power consumption.SOLUTION: A freezer 10 with a defrosting device 25 includes a refrigeration chamber 11 formed in an inner wall 12 including a heat transfer plate 12a, and a metal mesh (defrosting device) 25 provided on the inner surface of the heat transfer plate 12a of the refrigeration chamber 11. The metal mesh 25 is obtained by etching a metal base material to form a mesh opening and leaving a rib. The average diameter of the mesh opening is 50-300μm, and the average width of the rib is 50-500μm.
