A washing machine and a color-protecting washing method thereof. The washing machine comprises a control panel (10), and different categories of normal procedure buttons and a color-protecting button (101) are provided on the control panel (10). The color-protecting button (101) operates in association with any one of the different categories of normal procedure buttons. The method comprises the following steps: after detecting that the color-protecting button (101) is further triggered, controlling the washing machine to enter a color-protecting operation mode, and acquiring a color-protecting temperature adjusted by a color-protecting function in a corresponding normal procedure; acquiring the weight of laundry in the washing machine, and controlling water intake of the washing machine according to the weight of laundry; and after the water intake of the washing machine reaches a target quantity, controlling the washing machine to wash according to the color-protecting temperature T1. The washing machine and the color-protecting washing method thereof provided by the present invention can ensure the washing temperature of the laundry, prevent color fading of the laundry, and avoid damages to the laundry. |
