PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescent material for an organic electroluminescence device, and an organic electroluminescence device, which have increased luminous efficiency.SOLUTION: A luminescent material for an organic electroluminescence device includes a copper(I) complex represented by the general formula (1) defined by [CuX(PPh)L]. In the general formula (1), X is an anion, PPhis triphenylphosphine, and L is a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic compound having 5 to 18 ring-forming carbon atoms.
