PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a user interface displayed on a handheld electronic device to an interface dedicated to network communication.SOLUTION: A handheld electronic device has a screen and a plurality of application programs installed therein. A method comprises a step S1 of receiving a setting change command, and a step S2 of changing a built-in user interface to an interface dedicated to network communication on the basis of the setting change command. By this method, a plurality of icons corresponding to the application programs are displayed on the screen via the changed built-in user interface.
