<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston of an internal combustion engine which further reduces slide resistance of a skirt part.SOLUTION: A resin coating layer 21 is formed on a surface of a skirt part 13. The resin coating layer 21 comprises: a first resin coating layer 21B formed on a surface of an upper skirt part; a first resin coating layer 21C formed on a surface of a lower skirt part; and a second resin coating layer 21A formed on a surface of a center skirt part. The first resin coating layer 21B and the first resin coating layer 21C have an equivalent film thickness. The second resin coating layer 21A is formed so as to have a thickness larger than those of the first resin coating layers 21B, 21C. The second resin coating layer 21A is formed so as to have hardness lower than those of the first resin coating layers 21B, 21C.</p> |
