1. Apparatus for positioning an intraocular lens (IOL) having a haptic within the capsular bag of an eye, the apparatus comprising:
a handle portion having a proximal end, a distal end, and an irrigation lumen extending between the proximal end and the distal end; and a lens engagement portion at the distal end of the handle portion, the lens engagement portion including a superior surface defining a haptic engagement surface configured to engage the haptic of the IOL, and a plurality of irrigation ports arranged about the haptic engagement surface, each of the irrigation ports being in fluid communication with the irrigation lumen. |
