METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SHARING CONTENTS BETWEEN REMOTELY LOCATED DLNA DEVICES

A method for sharing contents between remotely located DLNA devices according to an embodiment comprises: multicasting a message for searching for a device for performing a DLNA function at a first DLNA device; packing the multicasted message in a TCP/IP packet; sending the packed message to another network connected to the first DLNA device via a virtual private network; receiving the packed message at the another network; changing the sender IP of the packed message to the IP of the first DLNA device; and multicasting a message including the changed IP to DLNA devices within the network, thereby allowing the first DLNA device to share contents with DLNA devices receiving the multicasted message.
