According to the present invention, a method for operating an one time password (OTP) using biometrics, which is executed in an apparatus for generating the OTP, comprises the following steps: storing information on biometrics authentication to authenticate a living body of a user in a security storing area of the apparatus; confirming the information on the biometrics authentication recognized through a living body recognition unit equipped in the apparatus; performing a procedure of authenticating the living body of the user corresponding to the information on the biometrics authentication through the information on the biometrics authentication; generating at least one seed value among two or more seed values which are substituted to a code generation algorithm for generating the OTP by using the information on the biometrics authentication which has succeeded the biometrics authentication of the user when the living body of the user is authenticated; and substituting a seed including the generated seed value into the code generation algorithm to dynamically generate the OTP. |
