METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MICA NANOSHEETS

A method for manufacturing mica nanosheets is provided. The method for manufacturing mica nanosheets comprises the steps of: inputting multi-layered mica in a mixture solution in which alkali metal ions or alkaline earth metal ions are dispersed in an organic solvent or deionized water; making the alkali metal ions or the alkaline earth metal ions inserted between the layers of the multi-layered mica by performing solvothermal synthesis in the mixture solution in which the multi-layered mica was inputted; and separating the layers of the multi-layered mica from each other by emitting microwaves to the mixture solution in which the solvothermal synthesis was performed. Therefore, the layers of the multi-layered mica are chemically separated from each other and a single layer or a few layers of mica nanosheets may be obtained. Moreover, since the mica nanosheets manufactured by the method of the present invention exhibit characteristics of both nonconductors and semiconductors, the mica nanosheets can be applied in memory industries, and energy or display fields.
