The present invention relates to a nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) reducing agent composition containing a formate dehydrogenase 1 (FDH1) β-subunit, and an NAD reducing method. NAD can be reduced in a high yield by using the reducing agent composition and an electrochemical reduction method of the present invention, and thus NADH can be effectively reproduced. In addition, if using the FDH1 β-subunit of the present invention, active NADH can be effectively regenerated, using electrons supplied from an electrode, with remarkable velocity and efficiency compared with conventional industrial enzyme catalysts (Diaphorase) and chemical catalysts (Rh-complex). |
