PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a screen for browsing contents such as electronic books.SOLUTION: A screen 130 displays a page image 132 of a content and a slide bar 134. The slide bar 134 is composed of a bar representing all pages of the content and a handle 136 representing a page being displayed. The slide bar 134 is added with description unit markers 138 at positions in a page including an opening sentence of a description unit of the content. When a user performs an operation to slide the handle 136, display moves to a page corresponding to a reaching position of the handle 136 (screen 140). On the other hand, when the user performs an operation to specify either a left direction or a right direction, the display moves to a page including an opening sentence of a description unit, which appears next in a direction corresponding to the slide bar (screen 150).
