PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing program capable of flexibly detecting an object even through the shape of the object in a processing mage changes.SOLUTION: An image processor 10 according to an embodiment of this invention includes a dictionary generation part 21, a processing image generation part 22 and a detection part 23. The dictionary generation part 21 arranges a detection object at a plurality of positions of a prescribed range within an imaging range of a camera 11 such that a prescribed visual axis of the camera 11 mounted in a vehicle to image the periphery of the vehicle at a wide viewing angle is parallel with a normal direction of a detection object surface of the detection object to generate one dictionary in advance by using images obtained by previously imaging the detection objects at each of the plurality of positions by the camera 11. The processing image generation part 22 generates a processing image with a prescribed visual axis as a normal direction from an image picked up by the camera 11 after generating the dictionary. The detection part 23 detects the detection object included in the processing image by acquiring a prescribed feature mount by using the dictionary.
