<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user on a terminal device side to easily discriminate an incompatible device which is incompatible with a specific protocol used by the terminal device.SOLUTION: An image processing system includes a second printer which forms an image on a recording medium, and is not capable of performing communication according to a specific protocol; and a first printer which communicates with the second printer, and communicates with a portable terminal according to a specific protocol. The first printer includes: a logic printer generation section 132 for registering discrimination information for discriminating the second printer; a logic printer name notification section 134 for notifying the second printer registered in the logic printer generation section 132 of the discrimination information corresponding to the second printer; and a retrieval response section 136 for transmitting the discrimination information corresponding to the second printer to the portable terminal on the basis of the inquiry from the portable terminal according to the specific protocol. The second printer includes a logic printer name display section for displaying the discrimination information notified by the logic printer name notification section 134 of the first printer.</p> |
