<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus configured to easily prevent a recess formed in a supply roller from being clogged with toner particles, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus 4 includes: a reservoir section 13 which stores developer 12 including toner particles and volatile carrier liquid; a supply roller 14 having a plurality of recesses on a surface; a conveyance roller 16; a developing roller 9; a developer regulation member 15 which is brought into contact with the supply roller 14 to regulate the developer 12 to a first thickness; a pressure-contact/separation mechanism; a rotation drive mechanism; and a control section. The control section controls operation of the pressure-contact/separation mechanism and the rotation drive mechanism so that the supply roller 9 is stopped with the developer 12 having a second thickness larger than the first thickness supplied over the whole circumference of the supply roller 9, by rotating, one or more turns, the supply roller 14 which is separated from the conveyance roller 16 and the developer regulation member 15 after development before standby state.</p> |
