A truck for an electric vehicle with a direct drive traction motor of which a rotor is fixed to the outer side comprises: a stator (110) which is fixed to the truck and includes a coil (130) generating a magnetic force by receiving current; and a rotor (100) in which a permanent magnet (120) is disposed inside. The rotor (100) is disposed on the outer side of the stator (110) to surround the stator (110) and discharge heat transmitted from the stator (110) to the outside. The permanent magnet (120) is embedded in the rotor (100) to prevent the separation of the permanent magnet (120) and prevent a decrease in the magnetic force of the magnet caused by to a temperature rise because the stator is not directly affected by the heat from the stator (110). Therefore, the truck for an electric vehicle can operate in harsh environments by disposing the stator with the coil inside the rotor with the permanent magnet and efficiently discharging the heat transmitted from the permanent magnet to the outside without direct effect of the heat generated in the coil of the stator. Also, the safe operation is possible by disposing the permanent magnet inside the rotor and preventing the separation of the permanent magnet at a high speed.
